Since the early 90's I have been creating jewelry for friends and family. It was over the past 5 years I realized it was my passion and calling. During College I had my creative outlet; my homework which were sculpture projects. I like using lampwork beads with metals to play up the textures. My favorite materials are clay, lampwork beads, metals brass and sterling silver, pearls, and other glass beads. My next material to learn is PMC. I have been interested in this area for some time and will start experimenting with the media in the next couple of months. Please email me if you have questions of any kind. Sincerely, Christine Hoffmann

AKA Bead on a Stick Creations. With three teenage daughters and the need for numerous accessories, I decided to create our own designs. As the girls will give me input as to what colors they want, what length, size etc. I try to find a unique pattern made from mostly SRA Lampwork glass beads and Swarovski Crystals to compliment their ensembles. I am a true lover of the handmade lampwork beads, I feel they are the true heart of my creations. Without these talented artists, my pieces would be nothing more than commercial. So thank you to all those who make magic out of flamed glass. They are little works of art to be treasured for a lifetime. Your Friend, Julie

My philosophy is fairly simple - take beautiful, quality components and try to show them to their best advantage. My pieces are individually designed and all handmade by me.  I use precious metals, semi precious gemstones, crystals and handmade lampwork beads. I love working with silver wire and the way it moves and can be shaped. I also love the different finishes and textures you can achieve. People often talk about what inspires them, and for me, it's more a particular mood rather than something tangible. Most often the beads lead the design - I love them, I buy them, then I make them a nice home!  Many of my pieces incorporate lampwork glass beads. Lampworking is a skill that takes a great deal of practice and patience. I am constantly amazed by the range of colours, shapes and decorative elements lampworkers manage to produce.

All my jewellery is designed and crafted by myself with the highest quality findings together with original one-off lampwork focal beads to create something that is truly unique. I love what I do and I hope that shows in the quality of my jewellery. I like to support local lampwork artists and I'm actually in the process of learning how to make glass beads myself which I will incorporate into my jewellery together with my silversmith skills.

I enjoyed making jewelry gifts for friends and family for several years, Now I am so excited to have my own shop, Funky Stones, on Ruby Lane. I decided to join up with Ruby Lane because of its high standards and excellent marketing program, plus my husband also has a shop called Lakeshore Antiques, on Ruby Lane.  In all of my jewelry I use a variety of metals like sterling silver, copper, brass from Indonesia, or Thailand and some 14K gold-filled beads and clasps. The stones used are mostly semi-precious gemstones from all over the world. In the bolder pieces I sometime use lamp-work art glass, Czech glass, vintage beads or other unique beads.

I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind jewelry from whimsical to elegant pieces in a variety of mediums: semi-precious stones, lampwork and boro beads, Swarovski crystals, sterling silver and vermeil. I love to play with colors and textures to find that perfect spark that adds pizzazz to each of my creations.

Primarily I see myself as an artist. I have a background in art and education. I have been making hand made items for most of my life. I now concentrate on handmade beaded jewelry. For me it is all about color and love the play of colors in the sparkle of crystals. I use magnetic clasps in my designs whenever possible because of their ease of use. They make it possible for people to put on jewelry with only one hand.

Beautiful handmade jewellery. I specialise in creating pieces using natural materials such as freshwater pearls, gemstones, tagua nut and huayruro seeds as well as many others.

I am a self-taught jewelry artist, and I love everything about it! I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to create in this way, to expand my skills, and to be a part of such a special community that values hand-made products over the mass-produced.  I make all my jewelry by hand in sterling silver or raw natural brass. I pair that with unusual semi-precious stones, fresh and saltwater pearls, turquoise, old trade beads, hand-cast pure and sterling silver and funky vintage finds. I work hard to provide a quality product at a reasonable price, so everyone can own a piece of hand-crafted jewelry!

I've been creating one of a kind jewelry pieces and sets for over 40 years. My Grandmother taught me that it's not how much you have in your jewelry box but the quality and versatility of the pieces in it. My creations are meant to be played with, rearranged into something different to wear, and last a lifetime to be passed on to future generations.
