I use fanciful beads, glittery crystals and sturdy metals. I use only the best in my pieces as you should only wear the best!

I have been creating for as long as I can remember. With a focus on charitable giving and cause awareness, I create pieces in many different types of media. I am currently smitten with creating warm glass and forged metal jewellery pieces. My most prominent collection is my Autism Awareness collection that I create in honour of my wonderful son who has severe autism.

I love creating, I began crafting as a child and my love of creating has grown over the years. I am also a fan of history and always was enthralled by the stories of explorers and the discovery of western/northern America. My love of both creating and history lead me to antique trade beads, I have been collecting and re-purposing trade beads from the 1700 and 1800's that were used during the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1800's into jewelry. I love working with beads that were hand made and have a history.

Xanna's style is a little bold, with rich colors, and texture. I discovered Boro lampwork beads, which are works of art all by themselves. I like to mix these little master pieces with pearls, crystals, natural gemstones, and chain to give my pieces depth and character. My goal is to create a piece of art that makes a woman feel beautiful and confident.

Jewelry, gems and monogramming have always been great passions of mine. From early on, my jewelry-making instructor said, “This takes time, so be sure and use quality merchandise.” So, that’s the biggest thing I focus on when creating a piece of jewelry...quality materials and craftsmanship.  I use swarovski crystals and pearls, Euro glass and lampwork beads, as well as murano, handmade ceramic and Czech beads. My favorites are the precious and semi-precious stones. I mix all these beautiful materials in with sterling silver, copper or gold. I just love to match up the colors, create new designs, and make something unique that nobody else will be wearing!

Jewelry making is a labor of love for me. It’s as much about the feel and balance of a piece as it is the look of it. I have a broad design aesthetic ranging from whimsical to dramatic and pay meticulous attention to detail. I enjoy working in wire, various metals and a wide range of beading materials – everything from ethnic and organic materials to fine precious gemstones.

"I am NOT a factory but an ARTISAN that is HANDCRAFTING items for the digital world."  MY PHILOSOPHY: My items are lovingly HANDCRAFTED in my studio. I design and handcraft all my pieces. I use other artisans' handcrafted work as often as possible to support their craft, for the durability and uniqueness of their pieces. All my items are ALL One of a Kind (OOAK). I make NO TWO items exactly the same.

Currently, I am experimenting with collage and assemblage. I am interested in using products that are already new, unused and waiting to be used alongside those that have been left for garbage by careless types who cannot see their and uncover it with new pairings. Many of my newer ideas are wire wrapped items and I am working on a Fall and Spring line.

I seek to provide jewelry that is simple, yet elegant. I work with wire to create each piece, no soldering or glues are used, every joint is a cold connection.

Everything I make is created from my imagination and my belief that jewelry is art – to be worn, enjoyed and loved. My love of natural stone and color is represented by my use of Jasper, Turquoise, Coral and Amazonite, to name a few. Swarovski crystals are often used in my creations and add vibrant color and intensity. Sterling silver from Bali, Israel and Thailand complements the precious and semi-precious stones, Freshwater Cultured Pearls, handmade polymer clay, ceramic and lampwork glass beads that come from many different cultures and continents. I only use professional grade supplies in my creations and each piece is certain to be appreciated for years to come.
